The AGM took place at the Ebberley Arms, Bear Street, Barnstaple starting at 8pm. After the election of the Committee (see committee members page for more details) then came the 2 secretary's and treasurer's reports. The return of the very popular "Overnight stay" was announced, as well as the start of a Branch Fantasy Football League to be run this season. The "Nick Cooper" Branch Player of the Season was announced and surprise surprise it wasn't Cristiano Ronaldo - it went to Carlos Tevez!!!. Then the winner of this seasons "Jon Medland" Branch Member of the Year award was announced and by a landside it went to Ben "Tolly" Tollafield (pictured below receiving the shield from last years winner "Wiffy").
Since the AGM, Paul "George" Clarke has stepped down as Branch Secretary and Ben has replaced him. This also means that Grant "Brian" Marsden has been promoted to Assistant Secretary. We would all like to thank "George" for his sterling efforts for the Branch over the years. We will miss him and the important role that he played for our Club. Thank you very much "George".

TOLLY
Due to our fantastically successful season last year, the Branch Committee decided to give £500 to a local Charity in recognition of all the unsung work that goes on behind the scenes in North Devon. The Charity we chose was the North Devon Branch of the MS Society. The cheque was presented by Jamie Whitaker (left) and Ben Tollafield (right) to their Secretary, Sally Parker, (centre left) and Support Officer, Delia Gardner, (centre right). They couldn't thank us enough and after speaking to them during the presentation, I have to say that this is a thoroughly worthy cause and it was a pleasure to help them in the small way that we have. Thank you to all our members for your support last season, as without that we would not have been able to offer this donation.
